Georiga Force sign QB from practice squad

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - Georgia Force signed QB Sam Clemons from the practice squad and released QB Glen Gauntt.

Clemons signed with the Force before training camp on October 21, 2005. After training camp Clemons was waived and signed to the practice squad. Clemons spent time with the Quad Cities Steamwheelers of the arenafootball2 in 2005. In 2004, Clemons was on the Chicago Rush's roster for all 16 games, but was active for only one. Clemons is a product of Western Illinois University were he tied a school record by throwing five touchdowns in a single game on November 17, 2001 at Indiana State. Clemons transferred to Western Illinois from the University of California were he played with Baltimore Ravens QB Kyle Boeller.

Gauntt joined the Force prior to the 2005 season signing as a free agent on January 21, 2005. He spent the 2005 season as the back-up to starting QB Matt Nagy.

On Sunday, February 5 at 1pm the Force will host the Colorado Crush at Philips Arena in a rematch of ArenaBowl XIX. The Force defeated division rival Orlando Predators 48-31 last Saturday, January 28, in Philips Arena.
