Georgia Swarm News Release

DULUTH, GA - The Georgia Swarm Lacrosse Team have announced Andy Secore as the latest addition to their coaching staff. Secore is set to take on the role of Assistant Coach for the offensive unit, bringing his extensive lacrosse expertise and coaching prowess to the Swarm.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Secore's lacrosse journey has been marked by dedication and passion for the sport. Currently residing in Hamilton with his wife, Alex, and their two children, Grace and Brooks, Secore brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the game.

Secore's professional lacrosse career kicked off with the Arizona Sting, where he showcased his talent for two years before embarking on an exciting journey in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He was drafted in the 2007 Dispersal Draft by the Minnesota Swarm and signed a one-year contract. Following his season with the Swarm, Secore was selected as the second overall pick in the Dispersal Draft by the Edmonton Rush, where he dedicated the next three years of his career before retiring from the NLL.

Following a career-altering injury Secore transitioned into coaching with the Rochester Knighthawks during a championship season. Secore has also coached Brendan Bomberry and Seth Oakes in Six Nations, leading them to secure a prestigious Minto Cup. His exceptional insight as a former player, combined with an innate understanding of the game, solidified his position as an asset to the coaching staff.

"I'm thrilled to be coming back to an organization that means so much to me," expressed Secore. "I enjoyed my time with the Swarm and am looking forward to contributing to a coaching capacity."

With a deep-rooted love for the sport, Secore's primary goal is to give back to the lacrosse community and, most importantly, to bring home the coveted Champions Cup.

Head Coach Ed Comeau had high praise for the newest addition to his coaching staff, saying, "Andy's a really smart, skilled player who utilizes that as a coach and analyzes the game very well by using video to help our players reach their full potential. So, we are excited to have Andy on board."

The Swarm are confident that Secore's experience and passion will help propel the team to new heights in the upcoming season. Fans and players alike eagerly await the positive impact that Coach Secore will undoubtedly bring to the Swarm's offensive strategies.
