
Georgia Force Welcome Back Jim Kubiak

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Georgia Force has announced the hiring of Jim Kubiak as the club's Director of Football Administration and Operations.
Kubiak's responsibilities will include all day-to-day operations for the team in addition to negotiating contracts and assisting the coaching staff with player personnel. Kubiak joins the Force after spending the 2006 campaign with the Philadelphia Soul as the team's offensive coordinator.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Kubiak played four seasons as a quarterback in the AFL, including a stint with the Force in 2005. Kubiak started the first five games of the 2005 season under center, leading Georgia to a 4-1 record and throwing for 1,148 yards and 22 touchdowns before suffering a season ending knee injury in Week 5 at Austin. In his career, Kubiak passed for 9,985 yards and 189 touchdowns, while completing 63.4% of his passes.
Force President and 2005 AFL Executive of the Year Dick Sullivan is excited about the Force's future under Kubiak.
" I am looking forward to working with Jim as we embark on our mission to win the ArenaBowl in 2007", Sullivan stated. "Jim exudes the leadership, knowledge and experience of the arena game to improve this team and achieve our club's ultimate goal of winning a championship."
Kubiak is anxious to begin the upcoming season and working with the coaching staff.
" I am very excited about rejoining the Force", said Kubiak. "The Force have the best owner and head coach in the AFL. I look forward to preparing for the upcoming season and competing for a championship".
With the arrival of Kubiak, Nick Polk, who has served as Director of Football Operations for the Force and Falcons for the past two seasons, will take on additional responsibilities with the Falcons in regards to salary cap, contracts and player personnel.
