SINGLE PRACTICE: Today, the Force participated in the last practice before New Orleans arrives for their combined workouts. After one-on-one drills, the team came together to work on redzone situations. Former Falcons LB Eric Johnson filled the hole on the first play to deny WR Jarrick Hillery of the score. FB Matt Huebner pounded the ball in the endzone from one-yard out a couple of plays later. QB James MacPherson connected with FB John Ritcher and WR Matt Thomas for touchdowns during the session. MacPherson added four touchdown passes in the three-on-three portion of practice, with two going to Thomas. QB Chris Greisen started the team session with a 40-yard touchdown pass to 2005 AFL Rookie of the Year WR Troy Bergeron on the first play. Two plays later, Thomas hauled in a 30-yard strike from Greisen for the score, and later the two combined for another score before their series ended. The defense responded with interceptions by DB James Whitley and DB Jermaine Harris late in practice. The practice came to a close after QB Ryan Vena connected with WR Derek Lee in the right corner of the endzone.
Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22, the Force will host combined workouts with the New Orleans VooDoo at their Flowery Branch practice facility.
