Grand Rapids Rampage News Release
GRAND RAPIDS - If you're a resident of Hastings, Holland, Ionia or Muskegon, chances are that you'll be seeing a lot of the Grand Rapids Rampage this season. As part of the team's 10th Anniversary Season celebration, Rampage players have adopted four cities that exemplify what West Michigan is all about and plan to conduct numerous community activities in each town.
Chad Salisbury (Hastings), Timon Marshall (Holland), Chris Ryan (Ionia) and Jonathan Ordway (Muskegon) will introduce themselves to their respective communities in grand style Thursday (Feb. 22) afternoon from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. EST. Each player will join local dignitaries in announcing the program at McDonald's locations in each community. Included among the special guests will be Hastings Mayor Robert May, Holland Councilperson Kurt Dykstra, Ionia Mayor Dan Balice and Muskegon Mayor Stephen Warmington.
The players will greet fans, sign autographs, pass out souvenirs and join everyone in enjoying free samples of McDonald's Specialty Coffees. In addition, WBCT-B93.7 FM, WSNX 104.5 FM, WLAV 96.9 FM and WKLQ 94.5 FM will broadcast live from the various store locations (see list below).
"This is West Michigan's team and what better way to show our appreciation for their support than to give back to communities throughout the region," said Scott Woodruff, Rampage general manager of business operations. "As a mid-sized city in a big city league, we depend on the support of all communities across West Michigan. We're confident that we'll represent West Michigan proudly this season and put on a great show for all of our fans."
In addition to supporting West Michigan's Arena Football League team, fans in Hastings, Holland, Ionia and Muskegon also will be able to support community causes through their cities' community night games at Van Andel Arena. $5 of each Rampage upper deck ticket purchased will benefit local athletic and school programs.
