Flint Generals News Release

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League announce that rookie right wing Bobby Kukulka has been traded to the Richmond Riverdogs for future considerations effective immediately.

Kukulka, 22 appeared in 57 games for the Generals with eight goals, seven assists for fifteen points and 61 penalty minutes.

"I am putting the pieces together as we prepare for our last 16 games," said Generals' Vice President & Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "This trade will be important for us as the trade deadline approaches. We have some sticks in the fire to strengthen our team and the future consideration from Richmond will help us."

"The trade also benefits Kukulka as well," continues Nichols. "In Richmond, he will see more ice time and his game will continue to improve. He did everything we asked of him here in Flint. Unfortunately, at this time, he does not fit in to our immediate plans as we look to qualify for the playoffs. We wish nothing but the best for Bobby Kukulka with the Riverdogs."

The Generals return home tonight to host the Elmira Jackals at Perani's Arena beginning at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are on sale at any TicketMaster location. Ticket prices are $13.00, $11.00 and $9.00 with student and senior citizens discounted $2.00 off regular prices. For purchases, please call (810) 744-0580.
