Generals Team Up For Muscular Dystrophy Association

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the International Hockey League in conjunction with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and UAW Region "1C" are pleased to announce the 6th annual "Spaghetti on Ice" to benefit those with neuro-muscular disease. This special fundraiser will be at Perani Arena on Sunday, March 1, 2009.

This dinner features the Flint Generals players serving spaghetti dinner on ice to all customers and fans whom have purchased tickets and will be taking their seats at ice level dinner tables. There will be special jersey and silent auctions held with all proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

"This is a very special event for our community. The players and staff are honored to be a part of it," said Flint Generals Head Coach, Bobby Reynolds. "The fight against muscular disease is one we all need to continue until a cure is found. The Muscular Dystrophy Association, its local members and volunteers deserve the support of all of Mid-Michigan," continues Reynolds. "We hope everyone can give to this very important cause. We hope everyone can join us for Spaghetti on Ice."

Admission is $10.00, the admission ticket is a commemorative hockey puck of the special fundraising event. The doors open at 3:00 p.m. with dinner at 4:30 p.m. For more details and for your ticket purchases, please contact the MDA office at (989) 771-9612.
