Oshawa Generals News Release
The Generals traveled to the nearby Pickering Rec Centre to take on the Kingston Frontenacs tonight in front of a very loud and rowdy crowd.
The Generals didn't get off on the best start; the Froncenacs went up 3-0 early in the first with goals coming from Spencer Watson, Lawson Crouse, and Sam Schutt. Oshawa threw a number of shots on net in the first, but none managed to make it to the back of the net.
The second saw more of the same, another quick goal by Kingston's Spencer Watson saw the Frontenacs take a commanding 4-0 lead. It was Mitchell Vande Sompel who finally put Oshawa on the board nearing the middle mark of the second. Lawson Crouse's second of the night came shortly after, putting Kingston up 5-1. The Generals struck again late, thanks to a goal by Hunter Smith to end the period at 5-2.
The third saw another four goals scored, the first from the Frontenac's Sam Bennett, followed by Justice Dundas of the Generals bringing the score to 6-3. Sam Povorozniouk, and Darcy Greenaway got another two for Kingston bringing the final score to 8-3.
