Flint Generals News Release
FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL, and 'AA' affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings paid a special visit on Saturday night. Generals' play-by-play voice Denis J. Puska and defenseman Kyle Deck stopped by the wedding of Eric and Christy Rau in Davison.
During the reception, the Generals announced that Christy Rau would be getting two season tickets to the Generals' games and making the presentation was Kyle Deck. The whole ticket announcement, which was planned by her new husband Eric Rau, was a complete surprise to Christy who couldn't believe that the Generals would stop by their wedding.
Friends and family had the opportunity to get pictures taken with Deck prior to his return to the Detroit Red Wings Training Camp later that night.
The Rau's attended more than 20 games last season and are first-time season ticket holders.
There is still time for hockey fans to purchase 08-09 Season Tickets for the Flint Generals. Fans can drop by the Generals Merchandise Store located at Perani Arena and Event Center and put a deposit on seats. The Generals also have flex tickets available for purchase at $100 which gives fans 12 end zone tickets for the price of 10.
