Generals announce blue gold game and exhibition schedule

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals proud members of the IHL and double AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings announced today that they have scheduled two pre-seasons as well as a inter-squad scrimmage.

A Blue and Gold Inter-squad scrimmage is set for Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7:00 pm at Perani Arena and Event Center. Admission and parking to the Scrimmage will be free and fans who want to attend are requested to bring school and art supplies to donate to needy students and schools in Genesee County.

This is a great opportunity for fans to see all of the Generals players that are participating in Training Camp. The Generals will then play back-to-back pre-season games against the Port Huron Ice Hawks beginning on Friday, Oct. 10 at McMorran Place Arena at 7:30 pm. The second game is set for Saturday, Oct. 11 at Perani Arena and Event Center at 7:30 pm. Admission to Saturday's game is $5 for all seats.

"As well as being an opportunity for us to evaluate our players, it will be a great chance for Generals fans to come out and see who will be wearing the blue and gold this year" said Coach Peter South. "Having the Blue/Gold scrimmage open to the fans, and hopefully collecting a lot of school and art supplies will make it a win-win for everyone."

The Generals have also announced that single game tickets will be on sale in the very near future and we will make an announcement as to when that will happen.

The Flint Generals want to also remind fans that Flex Pass is now available for purchase. Fans can get a flex pass at $100, which includes 12 end zone tickets for the price of 10. The tickets can be used one at a time or all at once. The Flex Passes can be picked up at Flint Generals Merchandise store located at Perani Arena and Event Center.
