
Generals Late Rally Falls Short in Pitcher's Duel with Flying Chanclas

Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but San Antonio Flying Chanclas was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the Victoria Generals at Riverside Stadium.
Marco Becerril started the game for Victoria Generals and was strong on the mound in his second straight appearance allowing just one hit while striking out five Flying Chanclas batters in four strong innings.
Riggs Threadgill earned the victory on the mound for San Antonio Flying Chanclas. He surrendered no runs on three hits over five innings, striking out on Generals hitter.
Matthew Sesler and Connor Schmidt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Schmidt recorded the last four outs to earn the save for San Antonio Flying Chanclas.
AJ Irvin took the loss for the Generals surrendering one run on three hits over two innings, striking out two and walking none.
Reese Johnson, Jose Diaz, Bryce Grizzaffi, Josh Elvir and Bandon Broughton each collected a hit to lead the Generals.
San Antonio Flying Chanclas racked up seven hits in the game including a pair of hits from both Ryan Flores and Lee Thomas.
The Generals are back in action Wednesday night with another Free Ticket Night presented by Comfort Keepers. Gates open at 6pm with first pitch slated for 7:05. Social Distancing measures ae in place for your safety. Masks are required as you enter the gates and while traveling throughout the ballpark.
