SERIES PRIMER: The Generals visit the Birmingham Barons (AA, Chicago White Sox) for the second time in 2019, playing a six-game series at Regions Field. The two teams will meet in 21 games over four separate series in 2019, with 15 of those games happening in three First Half series. Jackson went 4-1 against Birmingham in their April 20-24 clash and 3-1 in their rain-shortened May series. LAST GAME: Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, went to the wire with the Chattanooga Lookouts on Saturday and claimed the season's first walk-off victory with a 5-4 triumph. The riveting win at The Ballpark at Jackson helped the Generals (31-23) stay within a game of first-place Montgomery, while Chattanooga (29-25) fumbled a chance to draw closer in the North Division's First Half race. Full Recap: JacksonGeneralsBaseball.com

TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: Right-hander Ricky Nolasco, a brand-new addition to Jackson's roster, is a former West Tenn Diamond Jaxx player who has pitched in 330 MLB games in his career with a 4.56 MLB ERA. The Southern League's Most Outstanding Pitcher in 2005 has not pitched since September 2017 for the Los Angeles Angels, and he has not pitched in a Southern League game since 2007. He squares off with Double-A rookie Lincoln Henzman for Birmingham, who was ten years old at the time of Nolasco's big league debut in 2006. Henzman, a former teammate of Drew Ellis at Louisville, has pitched to a 4.61 ERA this year at High-A Winston-Salem.
