Generals, Barons Postponed Friday

Jackson, Tenn. - On Friday, the Jackson Generals and Birmingham Barons were postponed due to rain at The Ballpark at Jackson. These teams will make up Friday's contest with a Saturday doubleheader that is scheduled to start at 4:05 p.m. CT. The doubleheader will include two seven-inning contests.

Night of Heart, sponsored by West Tennessee Heart and Vascular Center and featuring postgame fireworks, has been rescheduled for Friday, July 10 when Jackson hosts the Birmingham Barons at 7:05 p.m. CT. Jackson will wear heart-themed jerseys for that contest which will be auctioned off online with proceeds going to the West Tennessee Heart and Vascular Center.

Friday was also going to feature a pregame autograph session with the Generals, courtesy of The Jackson Sun. The next scheduled team autograph session will occur on Friday, August 21 before Jackson's 7:05 p.m. CT contest with the Biloxi Shuckers.

Fans who had tickets for Friday's game can visit the box office at The Ballpark at Jackson to exchange for a ticket to any other 2015 Jackson Generals regular season home game.

Saturday's doubleheader will start with game one at 4:05 p.m. CT with game two set to follow roughly 30 minutes after the conclusion of the opener. Coverage begins on the TJ Network (AM 1390, FM 94.1 and 94.3) at 3:50 p.m. CT with the Jackson Generals Pregame Show, protected by the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Jackson will celebrate Superhero Night, courtesy of Sky Zone Jackson. Postgame fireworks will follow Saturday's action during which the Generals will wear special jerseys that will be up for auction at generals.milbauctions.com/ to benefit Ashley Furniture's official charity, A Hope to Dream.
