Bender Joins Pensacola, Gonzalez Activated

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster changes for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos prior to today's game against the Mobile BayBears. LHP Joel Bender has been reassigned from Triple-A Louisville while C Yovan Gonzalez was activated from the disabled list. INF Ryan Wright was placed on the disabled list with back spasms.

Bender is 4-1 in 23 combined appearances with High-A Daytona and AAA Louisville. He was selected by Cincinnati in the 27th round of the 2010 draft.

Gonzalez has been limited to 11 games with Pensacola this season due to injury. He is hitting .200 thus far with a home run.

Wright has been has been a mainstay in the infield this season, making 49 starts at second base. He is hitting .245 on the season and had a 10-game hit streak earlier in the year.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have 25 players on their active roster.
