
Biscuits Host Southern League All-Star Game Tuesday

MONTGOMERY, Ala., - The Montgomery Biscuits will host the 2015 Southern League All-Star Game presented by Wind Creek Hospitality at Riverwalk Stadium on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
The Southern League All-Star Game was last in Montgomery in 2006 and won't return for another 10 years. Festivities will commence Monday, June 22 with The Social presented by Coca Cola and partners of the Downtown Business Association. The Social, a free, public event, will take place at The Alley beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will begin on the back porch of Central Restaurant when the 2015 All-Star players will be introduced by Aaron Vargas, the Voice of the Biscuits, and Jeff Shearer, WSFA Sports Director. Following introductions, fans will have the opportunity to meet and get autographs from the players who will be available at various locations in The Alley and on Commerce Street, including the AlleyBar, AviatorBar, Central, Dreamland BBQ, The Exchange, Jalapenos, Jimmy John's and Wasabi.
The Social will also include product sampling by Coca Cola and music from Cumulus Broadcasting DJ's, Rick Hendrick from 95.1 The Fox and Rex on the Radio from Y102.
The All-Star festivities will continue Tuesday night at Riverwalk Stadium. The Home Run Derby presented by Alfa Insurance will begin at 6:00 p.m. with six of baseball's top prospects competing for the Home Run Derby title. Each player will have the opportunity to hit a special, Alfa Red Ball, out of the park. Should a player hit a home run with the Alfa Red Ball, Alfa Insurance will make a donation to the River Region United Way.
The Southern League All-Star Game presented by Wind Creek Hospitality will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the Home Run Derby. Montgomery native and Grammy-nominated, country performing artist, Jamey Johnson will perform the National Anthem.
Gates for the Alfa Home Run Derby and Wind Creek Hospitality All-Star Game open at 5:00 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a limited edition, individually numbered, historic-design baseball print, presented by Wind Creek Hospitality. Following the game, fans will enjoy an All-New MAX Fireworks Show!
Tickets for the Southern League All-Star Game are $15 for general admission and $22 for reserved seating. Tickets can be purchased at biscuitsbaseball.com or by calling 334-323-2255. Truly this is a once in a decade event.
