Brad Selwood had these comments in announcing the changes to the hockey staff:

"Chris DePiero is a quality person who I have coached against and have known on a personal level for many years. He has an incredible understanding of Junior hockey and I am looking forward to working with him. I have no doubt that Chris will develop into an outstanding Head Coach in the Ontario Hockey League."

"Sean Murphy brings many qualities to the position of Assistant Coach, his willingness to work hard to succeed being just one of them. I have coached Sean and he was likely one of the best captains I ever had."

"Al Clarke is a well-respected, intelligent individual who fits our needs for this role perfectly."

President Trish Campbell had this to say about the new hockey staff:

"After consultation with ownership and the hockey management and after conducting an extensive search, we feel that we have put together a coaching and management staff that will give the team the stability and the leadership needed to succeed at the next level. It is very important to the organization that this team be given the best opportunity to develop and realize their potential. With the hockey people now in place, along with very good drafts both this year and last, we now feel that we should have post-season success as well as the ingredients for a winning Memorial Cup bid in 2008."
