Gems And The Foodbank Team Up With Fans For Thanksgiving

The Dayton Gems Hockey team and The Foodbank will be working together toserve the Miami Valley. The Foodbank serves charitable food agencies, pantries, community kitchens and shelters in Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties.

The Gems will invite fans attending games the week of Thanksgiving to donate a non perishable item to The Foodbank. Admission with the donation will be only $5 per person for each game.Hara will be joining the Gems by allowing free parking for all 3 games.

Gems owner Rich Bruner: "Atthe time of year where everyone begins to think about family and friends, and what they want on their gift list. The Dayton Gems Hockey team is reaching outto their fans to help fill the food pantry shelves with donations for The Foodbank."

The Gems / Foodbank games included are:ThisSunday November 22nd (Mascot Night) when the Gems play at 5:00pm against Flint,Wednesday, November 25th ($1 Beer Night)at 7:00pm against Bloomington, and then again Friday, November 27that 7:30pm the Flint Generals will meet the Gems at Hara Arena.
