
Gavilanes Re-Signs with Greenville

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Triumph announced today the re-signing of midfielder, Allen Gavilanes pending league and federation approval. After coming off his most successful season yet, Gavilanes will return to Greenville for a third year.
Gavilanes proved to a key player in the Triumph's 2022 season notching four goals, five assists, 54 chances created and 2,369 minutes of playing time. He appeared in 33 matches including the USOC and League One Playoffs. His first season with the club, Gavilanes earned Rookie of the Year after appearing in 18 matches and his first professional goal to beat New England in 2021.
A former Marist College red fox, Gavilanes played three seasons with the New York team before turning pro. The midfielder logged 4,490 minutes, 20 goals, 22 assists, in 54 matches. He was voted three-time All-MAAC First Team, two-time MAAC All-Academic Team, 2018 All-East Second Team, 2017 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, MAAC Rookie of the Year and MAAC All-Rookie Team.
Gavilanes will return to Greenville along with a core group of veterans and new members Tevin Shaw, Devin Boyce and Daniel Wu. The Triumph will kick off their Season Opener on March 25th at Paladin Stadium against the Richmond Kickers.
