Twin City Gators News Release
The Twin City Gators would like to thank the Twin Cities for their support. Ticket sales are going great and we are excited to see the number of season tickets being sold. "We did not know what to expect when we put the tickets on sale, but we are very pleased to see the response" said co-owner Lawrence Vaughn. Tickets for the Gators seven home games have been purchased all over Northeast Louisiana. The fan base has made its way to Jackson, MS were tickets are being bought by the bulk. "We are very proud to see the support from neighboring municipals as well as our neighboring states, this should have a very positive impact on the economy" said co-owner Leonal Hardman. With most of the attention being focused on recovery efforts from the Hurricanes. A little football excitement maybe just what this area needs to aide in our own recovery efforts.
The Gators open camp Monday February 27, 2006 at 5:30pm at West Monroe High pratice field. Coaches will be making cuts in the days to come. "Monday should be very exciting and intense, with a roster spot on the line the players will be bringing their A-game" said Vaughn. The Gators coaching staff will be focused on picking the players that fit their system. Monday will feel just like a Friday night football game for spectators, but another day at the office for players and coaches.
Fans are asked to come witness some of the excitement. "We want the fans both young and old to come out on Monday and see the team in action. Even though we have not made any cuts or filled any roster spots the excitement and fun is still in the air" said Vaughn.
Come out and see the Gators in camp this Monday at 5:30pm, it will be exciting and fun to see some football.
Season Tickets are on sale now at the Gators Headquarters located inside the Monroe Civic Center Arena. Tickets are selling fast so hurry in before you miss out on the action. Tickets start as low as $85 for all seven home games.
