Thunder open camp

February 26, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Big Sky Thunder News Release

The Big Sky Thunder started camp this past Saturday, February 25th, 2006. Camp consists of 14 days straight of practice and competition for the 18 spots that will dress for the first game and become part of The Big Sky Thunder Football Team.

Eric Sellars, owner and head coach, states, " only 8 guys were recruited from out of state, the rest of the guys that were brought into camp are Montana guys that played throughout Montana including Helena, Bozeman and Billings".

Saturday and Sunday, practice is from 8am-12pm and again from 2pm to 4pm, and then throughout the next week from 7pm-10pm. Camp and practices are open to the public and are being held at the Madison River Ranch.

"During the next week we will be able to test each and every player on their skills, attitude and drive. We are excited to have the opportunity to practice on turf for the first time on March 2nd. Since we are not practicing on turf, it will give the players an opportunity to play on turf, this is especially important for those players that are rookies this year and have never previously played on turf", states coach Eric Sellars.

Final cuts will be made in March. For further information on camp and practice location, please contact Eric Sellars @ 570-1136
