Gary Rosyski named Overall and Offensive Player of the Week

(San Jose, CA, March 22, 2007) --- San Jose Stealth Forward Gary Rosyski has been named Overall Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week by the National Lacrosse League.

Rosyski was selected after scoring a franchise record ten points off four goals and six assists in the victory over Portland on Saturday, March 17. Leading the Stealth attack in both goals and assists, Rosyski scored two of his goals on the power play while registering four points in both the second and third quarters. The seven year NLL veteran currently ranks second on the team in goals (20) and assists (27), and shares the lead for points (47) for the 2007 season.

These are the first Player of the Week Awards for Rosyski, who has spent his entire NLL career playing for the Stealth franchise. Rosyski holds the franchise records for points (226), goals (97), assists (129), games played (55), power play goals (27) and can now add points in a game (10) to the list. Outside of playing for the Stealth, Rosyski coaches the South Valley Chiefs Club Lacrosse Team in San Jose.

The Stealth (4-5) will face off against two Western Division rivals this weekend. The team opens against the Portland LumberJax (2-9) on Saturday at Portland and then returns to San Jose to face the Edmonton Rush (4-5) on Sunday.
