The Golden State Valkyries head to Dallas to battle Paige Bueckers and the Wings at College Park Center on Friday night. If the regular season were to end through games played on Aug. 5, the Valkyries would be the third seed in the WNBA playoffs and have home court advantage for the first time in franchise history against the sixth-place Wings. Golden State is tied with the Las Vegas Aces for the second-best record in the league and the Wings are 0.5 games behind the Atlanta Dream and the Indiana Fever for the fourth-best record.

The Golden State Valkyries defeated the Toronto Tempo 92-81 on Tuesday night at Chase Center. Janelle Salaün continued to showcase her offensive scoring ability, tallying a team-high 21 points and outscoring Toronto's bench by eight points. As a team, the Valkyries had five players in double figures, with Kayla Thornton recording a season-high 20 points. Veronica Burton stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
