Indiana Fever's Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark Named to USA Basketball World Cup Roster

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever duo of Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark has been selected to represent USA Basketball in the upcoming 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup held in Berlin, Germany from September 4-13. The pair join Fever Head Coach Stephanie White who was previously announced as an assistant coach for the United States at the tournament.
This marks the first FIBA Women's World Cup roster either player has been a part of. Additionally, Boston and Clark are just the second and third, respectively, Indiana Fever players to represent the United States in the FIBA Women's World Cup, joining Tamika Catchings who competed for the Red, White and Blue in the 2002, 2006 and 2010 tournaments.
Boston and Clark were both named to the FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament roster in March of this year. Injury forced Boston to miss the tournament, but Clark was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after averaging 11.4 points per game and 6.4 assists per game to help lead the United States to a championship victory.
The United States will compete in four games in the preliminary round games, beginning with China on September 4. The United States will then face Italy on September 6 and the Czech Republic on September 7. The top team in each group will receive automatic qualification to the quarterfinal round, while the second and third will compete in a qualification round for the remaining quarterfinal spots.
