New York Liberty Sign Marine Fauthoux to Multi-Year Deal

NEW YORK - The New York Liberty have signed guard Marine Fauthoux to a multi-year deal, the team announced today.
Fauthoux, 5-9 French guard, was selected by the Liberty with the 29th overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. She has recorded averages of 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 11 games this season. Fauthoux became the first rookie guard in WNBA history to record 10 points, 10 rebounds and two 3-pointers off the bench in a single game on July 20, and just the seventh rookie overall. The Pau, France native scored a career-high 13 points, including 10 in the fourth, on July 28 in Los Angeles and dished out a career-best five assists on Aug. 3. Fauthoux won a silver medal with France at the 2024 Paris Olympics after winning a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and was named EuroLeague Women's Young Player of the Year in 2022.
