TONIGHT: After spending the previous nine games on the road, the Orlando Solar Bears (22-18-3-0) finally make their return to the City Beautiful tonight when they host the Jacksonville Icemen (24-20-1-1) in the seventh of 12 total meetings in the regular season. Orlando leads the regular season series with a 4-2-0-0 record against Jacksonville.
KALK BRINGS POINT PRODUCTION INTO MATCH AGAINST ICEMEN: Forward Corey Kalk is tied for the team points lead against the Icemen this season with five (3g-2a) in five games against Jacksonville. This represents over 40% of his offensive production for the season.
MONFREDO LEADS BLUE LINE AGAINST JACKSONVILLE: Defenseman Mike Monfredo also owns a share of the team points lead against Jacksonville, with five points (1g-4a) in six games. His +6 rating also leads the team against tonight's opponent.
MCAULEY LOOKING FOR REPEAT PERFORMANCE: In Orlando's last encounter with Jacksonville, Colby McAuley enjoyed a career-high three-point performance with two assists and the game-winner for the Solar Bears in a 3-2 victory. The second-year pro is currently enjoying a seven-game point streak (3g-7a), tied with Hunter Fejes (Oct. 13-27; 7g-4a) and Mathieu Foget (Dec. 29-Jan. 12; 3g-5a) for the longest point streak by a Solar Bears player this season.
