The Sioux Falls Skyforce looks to bounce back with a crucial two-game series against the Mexico City Capitanes tonight and Thursday from the Sanford Pentagon.

They were defeated 132-127 on Sunday to the Salt Lake City Stars, despite holding an 11-point lead in the second half of the contest. With the loss, the Skyforce dropped to second in the Western Conference, just a half-game out of the Stockton Kings. It also marked the first time in the regular season that the Skyforce has dropped a game while leading after three quarters (14-1).

Miami HEAT two-way player Alondes Williams led Sioux Falls (17-9) with 25 points on 8-19 FGA, five rebounds, 14 assists and four steals. It marked his second-straight contest of 14+ assists. Miami two-way player Jamal Cain (22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists) contributed his first career triple-double, while adding five steals, as well.

Josh Christopher led Sioux Falls off the bench with 23 points, while he and Isaih Moore (12 points) combined for a +29 +/-. Malik Williams (17 points and 15 rebounds) secured his 10th double-double of the regular season and sixth game of 16-plus rebounds in his last nine outings.

The Capitanes come into the contest with losses in their last three games and seven of their last nine games, despite starting the regular season 8-2. The Kings defeated them 123-93 on Saturday, as newly acquired Louis King led the team with 27 points.

Ethan Thompson leads the team in scoring, averaging 21.1 points per game. The team also features former NBA Champion Juan Toscano-Anderson (12.0 points per game) and eight-year NBA veteran Kenneth Faried (11.7 points and 10.8 rebounds).

Both teams finish the series Thursday, with tip-off slated for 6:30 PM CST.

- The Sioux Falls Skyforce acquired Théo Maledon (tay-oh mal-eh-DOAN) via waivers on Monday. The three-year NBA veteran averaged 7.8 points on 37.2 percent shooting, 2.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per 21.1 minutes in 177 NBA gamea (64 starts).

- Maledon is a member of the French National Team with the likes of Victor Wembenyama and Rudy Gobert.

DISHIN' DIMES WITH MAN-MAN

- HEAT two-way player Alondes Williams leads the NBA G League in assists over the last two games (30 total) and 15.0 per game.

- He's the only player to post 40+ points and 30+ assists in the last two games.

- His 15.0 assists per game in the month of March also ranks first in the NBA G League.

CAIN'S CORNER

- Miami two-way Jamal Cain secured his first career triple-double on Sunday, going for 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He added a career-high five steals and three blocks, as well.

- Since rejoining the Skyforce this week, Cain ranks third in the NBA G League in points per game (30.5) on 51.2 percent shooting.

- He's the only player to average 30+ points, 11+ rebounds and 8+ assists in the month of March.

- The Oakland product has notched four-straight double doubles and has six-of-seven regular season games (his only game without a double-double was 9 rebounds on 1/21/24 at Maine).
