Syracuse Silver Knights News Release

SYRACUSE, NY - The Silver Knights return to the War Memorial at Oncenter after suffering two tough losses at Missouri and Milwaukee. The Silver Knights take on the Norfolk SharX at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 9.

Syracuse can still make a push for a playoff berth, and they got help from the Baltimore Blast when they hosted and defeated the Rochester Lancers. The Silver Knights sit two games behind Rochester for second place in the Eastern Division with six games remaining. Four out of six of those games will be played in front of home crowds.

The team is coming off two hard losses during a two-game trip to the Central Division. The Silver Knights suffered a 33-12 defeat against the Missouri Comets on Wednesday, January 25, and a 25-10 loss against league-leading Milwaukee Wave on Sunday, January 29.

The Silver Knights are 2-1 against the SharX this season with two games remaining in the season series. Syracuse has outscored Norfolk 57-32 over those games, twice putting up 23 points on their Virginia rival. Their last meeting was a narrow 12-11 loss on January 15 when SharX striker Matt Clare completed a hat trick with the lone goal in the fourth quarter.

After the SharX game, the Silver Knights play their final two away games of the season (at Rochester and Norfolk) before closing out the regular season with three games at the War Memorial against Milwaukee (February 22), Wichita (February 25), and Baltimore (March 4). Tickets can be purchased at the Oncenter box office or through Ticketmaster.
