Game Preview: Barnstormers at Storm

The Iowa Barnstormers (3-2) will travel to South Dakota on Friday to take on the Sioux Falls Storm (3-3). Kickoff is set for 7:05 P.M. at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
The Barnstormers are coming off a tough loss to the Eastern Conference leaders, the Massachusetts Pirates. The Barnstormers fell to the Pirates on the road in Worcester last Saturday, 36-22. Though the game started with a 10-0 lead for the Barnstormers, and the score was tied at the half, they only scored once in the second half. That score came with just 12 seconds left in the game.
Meanwhile, the Storm just defeated the Bay Area Panthers handedly, 49-27. After being down 7-0 to start the game, the Storm never trailed again.
It will be the third of four matchups between Iowa and Sioux Falls this season. Iowa has prevailed in both previous games so far, the first one in Sioux Falls, 45-31, and the second in Des Moines, 47-37.
The first game consisted of an offensive showcase for the Barnstormers, scoring 38 points in the first half alone. The second one was close, but was capped off by a Gabriel Rui end zone field goal to put his team up 10 with less than 2 minutes to go.
