TONIGHT'S GAME: The Bats and Knights continue their four-game series at BB&T Ballpark after Charlotte won the series opener by a 5-2 score, Louisville's second straight loss by the same score. Tonight, the Bats look to get back on track against a Knights team which they will face 6 more times in the month of June.

AGAINST CHARLOTTE: Louisville took 2 of 3 from Charlotte during their series at Louisville Slugger Field on May 10-12, the Bats' lone home series victory to this point in the season. With a 115-99 record all-time against the Knights coming into play Friday, LOU's next loss to Charlotte will be their 100th in the all-time series.

FOLLOW MY LEAD: Alex Blandino went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs, the Bats' league-leading 15th individual multi-homer game of the season. Blandino also went yard to lead off the game, becoming the second Bat in as many games (Scott Schebler did it on Wednesday night vs. Indianapolis) to lead off the game with a home run for Louisville, after going the first 59 games of the season without one.

- Schebler and Blandino leading off back-to-back games with home runs make it the first time Louisville's done that in consecutive games since July 18-19, 2016, when Hernan Iribarren hit leadoff homers in back-to-back games at Columbus on his way to winning an IL batting title.

- Blandino is the first Bats player with a multi-homer game, with one of the homers being a leadoff blast, since Billy Hamilton did it on May 10, 2013 vs. Buffalo.

MULTI-HOMER EFFORTS: Louisville's had 15 individual multi-homer efforts this season, equaling their total from the previous 6 seasons (2013-18) combined. The 15 are already a franchise record, surpassing the 1999 RiverBats (11) back on May 30.

Season Multi-Homer Efforts

2013 5

2014 1

2015 0

2016 0

2017 3

2018 6

2019 15 (Franchise record)

TRANSACTIONS: Louisville made a few transactions prior to Thursday's series opener at Charlotte, activating outfielder Aristides Aquino from the Temporarily Inactive List, and adding catcher Valentin Martinez from Rookie Billings. In corresponding moves, outfielder Narciso Crook was transferred to Billings and catcher Stuart Turner was placed on the 7-day injured list, retroactive to June 5, with a left foot contusion.

TWO OUT OF THREE (TEAMS) AIN'T BAD: The Bats wrapped up their 60th game of the season Thursday night, owning a 24-36 record. Last season, Louisville was 22-38 at the 60-game mark. Through 60 games this season, two-thirds of Louisville's games have come against an opponent with a record of .500 or better, with the Bats 17-23 in those 40 games, and 7-13 against opponents at .500 (0-1) or below (7-12).
