On a Hot Streak: Across league and Open Cup play, SAFC is on a six-match winning streak that includes four-straight shutouts in USL play, and an extra-time win over an MLS club. The four-straight matches without a goal allowed is the longest shutout streak for the club since 2017, when SAFC went seven straight matches without allowing a goal. The 2017 streak covered the entire month of May without an opponent scoring.
New Kids in Town: Monterey Bay F.C. comes to Toyota Field in their inaugural USL Championship season. The side is coming off of a bye week, and currently sits at the bottom of the Western Conference table with a 1-5-0 record.
Marcina's Road Warriors: San Antonio FC is undefeated on the road this season, going 4-0-0 and including back-to-back clean sheets. The perfect record away from Toyota Field is part of an upwards trend since Alen Marcina took over as head coach ahead of the 2020 season. Under Marcina, SAFC is 14-8-6 on the road, compared to 18-32-14 in the club's first four seasons. Marcina is four road wins away from matching the previous total in fewer seasons, and including the condensed 2020 campaign.
