Medicine Hat, AB - The WHL Playoffs presented by Nutrien begins for the Medicine Hat Tigers (37-23-6-2) as they open up the Eastern Conference Quarter Final against the Red Deer Rebels (33-26-3-6) Friday night at Co-op Place.

The Tigers finished the season series 4-2 against the Rebels with the Tigers winning two of those in overtime off the sticks of Oasiz Wiesblatt & Bogdans Hodass. Medicine Hat was 2-1 at Co-op Place during the regular season and 50-34-2-2 since the 1996-97 season at home against Red Deer. When it comes to playoff match-ups between the Rebels & Tigers. Have met five different times in the playoffs, three times in the quarter finals and twice in the semi finals. The Tigers have won four of five meetings against the Rebels. The most recent in 2015 by 4-1 series win by Medicine Hat.
