What a start to the weekend!
Incredible.
There's no secret it had been a tough, tough, season series against Everett, but to close it out with a wild come-from-behind win like that is absolutely marvelous for the group. This team LOVES winning (as stated openly by the coaches), so to get that just gives a massive boost in confidence going into tonight's contest.
How do they keep it going?
Clean up the start, play the same way.
Last night's start was not great, but the roster got it going as the game went on. With that being said, given the trends of this season, don't be surprised to see a hot start tonight. And the counter point to that is when the team has started hot, they need to avoid brief lapses or taking the pedal off the metal as the game goes on.
More roster reinforcements?
Possibly.
Last night after the win, Associate Coach Kyle Gustafson said that newly added Lincoln (USHL) reinforcements Cross Hanas, Clay Hanus and James Stefan have completed their quarantine and passed COVID-19 protocols, making them eligible to play tonight. What a boost that would be on top of the built moment and addition of Jack O'Brien last night.
