
Game 3 of EL Playoffs in Reading postponed

Reading, PA - Game 3 of the best-of-five Eastern League Playoffs between the Reading Phillies and Akron Aeros, scheduled for Friday, September 11 at 7:05 PM at Reading's FirstEnergy Stadium, has been postponed due to rain.
Game 3 has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 12 at 7:05 PM at FirstEnergy Stadium. Game 4, if necessary, will also be a home game for the R-Phils and has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 13 at 7:05 PM. The Aeros lead the series 2-0. If Game 5 is necessary it would take place in Akron on Monday, September 14 at 7:05 PM.
Tickets marked for Game 3 will now be honored on Saturday. Tickets marked for Game 4 will be accepted on Sunday. Any fan holding Game 4 tickets with intentions of attending that game on its original Saturday date may exchange their tickets for Game 3 tickets, based on availability. Exchanges can be made at the R-Phils ticket office.
The playoff party for Reading Phillies season ticket holders, scheduled for Friday on the Coors Light Deck, has been moved to Saturday. The playoff party for Reading Phillies sponsors scheduled Friday at the Reading Eagle Pool Pavilion, has also been moved to Saturday.

GAME 3: Sat., Sept. 12, Akron at Reading at 7:05 PM
- Pizza Hut post-game fireworks
- Gates open at 5 PM for live music by the R-Phils Mascot Band thanks to Ice Cap Ice Rink (5:00-6:00)
- $1 off Coors Light and select All-Star Distributing products 5-6 PM.
- Free Phunland from 5-5:30 PM and player autographs from 6:00-6:30 PM for Redner's R-Phils Kids Club Members
- Post-game concert by Neo-Trio thanks to Coors Light
September 11 observances also rescheduled for 9/12
- U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Walter Balkiewicz will return to the R-Phils a U.S. flag from
FirstEnergy Stadium that 2008 Olympians Lou Marson and Jason Donald presented to him last
season. At the time, Marson and Donald were Beijing bound, while Balkiewicz was about to embark
on his 3rd tour of duty in Iraq. The flag flew over Balkiewicz's base in Iraq. Balkiewicz, who will
address the crowd, is also a Reading police officer.
- Greg Harwell, Reading police officer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, will sing God Bless America
during the 7th inning stretch.
