Rock Cats - Defenders Playoff Game rained Out Tonight

New Britain, CT - Tonight's 2009 Eastern League Playoff game scheduled for 6:35 PM at New Britain Stadium between the Rock Cats and Connecticut Defenders has been postponed due to Rain. The announcement was made late this afternoon in New Britain by Eastern League President, Joseph R. McEacharn.

The two Nutmeg State clubs are competing for the 2009 Northern Division Champion- ship, with the Norwich-based team currently leading the best-of five series, two-games- to-none.

Game 3 of this postseason match-up has now been rescheduled for tomorrow evening - Saturday night - for 6:35 PM at New Britain Stadium. Fans holding tickets for tonight's postponed contest - marked "EL Home Game 1 - Friday Night" - may use them tomorrow evening. Fans already holding tickets for Saturday night - marked "EL Home Game 2" - may also attend tomorrow night's game by conveniently exchanging those tickets at the Stadium Box Office.

Should Game 4 of this five-game Divisional Series be necessary, it will also be played at New Britain Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 1:35 PM. Many good seats remain available for both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon's conditional action.
