
Gamblers Drop First of Weekend Series against Chicago

The Green Bay Gamblers (19-22-2-1) fell to the Chicago Steel (27-10-7-1) in a 7-4 loss Friday night in the Green Bay's return to the Resch Center.
The teams would trade blows early in the first, with Kent Anderson (1) getting his first goal of the year on the power play. However, after a Chicago goal, they would lead it 2-1 heading into the second. The Gamblers would make up ground in this period, taking the lead after scores from Luke Weilandt (4) and Ryan Greene (16), giving Green Bay a 3-2 lead with one period to play. In the final period of play, the teams would trade initial goals. However, Chicago would rally off four goals, handing the Gamblers a 7-4 loss.
Kent Anderson led the way offensively for the Gamblers with 1 goal and 1 assist. Other goal-scorers include Jarod Crespo, Ryan Greene, and Luke Weilandt (4). For playmakers, the Gamblers received 1 assist each from Alex Servagno (18), Brody Lamb (12), Cameron Lund (16), and Matt Deboer (12). In net, goalie Aaron Randazzo had a game time of 59:10, saving 25 of 31 shots, allowing 6 goals.
Green Bay and Chicago will once again play each other tomorrow, March 5, at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Chicago.
