Colorado Mammoth News Release
BOSTON - The Colorado Mammoth reacquired defenseman John Gallant during Sunday's National Lacrosse League Entry Draft at TD Banknorth Garden, trading transition player Jason Bloom and a fifth-round pick to the Boston Blazers.
Gallant, who the Blazers selected in July's Expansion Draft, returns to Colorado for a seventh season. He is one of two Mammoth players remaining from the team that moved from Washington in the summer of 2002.
"We are glad to have John back. He has always been a leader on our team and a fan favorite," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "We will continue to rely on him to help anchor our defense."
The Blazers used the pick, the 56th overall, to select Paul Manesis from the University of Massachusetts.
