
Galaxy Alumni and Special Guests to Participate in Fourth Annual Alumni Game

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, June 18, 2007) - The Los Angeles Galaxy will host their fourth annual alumni game on Saturday, June 23 at The Home Depot Center, prior to the start of the Galaxy's regular season match against the Columbus Crew. The game will kick off at 5:15 p.m. with the two sides playing a pair of 30 minute halves.
Following the Alumni Game, the players will meet with fans and sign autographs at Soccer Fest. The players will also be honored prior to the start of the match against the Crew. All fans looking to attend the alumni game are asked to enter through the Southwest entrance, which will be the only gate open, prior to the start of the alumni game.
Headlining the list of former Galaxy greats who will be playing in the match is Mauricio Cienfuegos. The former Galaxy and El Salvador National Team captain was an ever present force in the heart of the Galaxy midfield from 1996-2003, scoring 35 goals and adding 80 assists in 206 career games with the club.
In addition to Cienfuegos, Paul Caligiuri, Robin Fraser, Harut Karapetyan, Jorge Salcedo and of course the club's current President and General Manager Alexi Lalas are all scheduled to appear along with a host of other Galaxy stars.
Frank LeBoeuf, a member of France's 1998 World Cup winning side, Steve Jones, the former guitarist of the Sex Pistols and currently the host of Jonesy's Jukebox on Indie 103.3, and Jimmy-Jean Louis of the hit NBC show "Heroes" are among the many special guests who will also be playing in the match.
