Gadiators Finish Mini-Camp

Las Vegas, NV- On Saturday, January 6th the Las Vegas Gladiators completed a very promising three-day mini-camp. The mini camp consisted of Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs competing, giving both the players and coaches a good idea of where they stand for the upcoming 2007 season.
The Gladiators mini-camp lasted three days, with two practices per day. The camp consisted of current Gladiators' skill players who are under contract, and getting them acclimated to the Arena game.
"Every guy looked like he belonged there" said Head Coach Danton Barto. "Overall, I like the professionalism and work ethic from this group. We obviously have a lot to learn but this group showed they are willing to learn and work extremely hard. I am looking forward to coaching these guys and can't wait for training camp to open up."
With many of the players making the transition from the National Football League to the Arena Football League, the camp also allowed the opportunity for those players to learn the AFL terminology and get a feel for the field.
"We are excited about the group of players we have here" said President and General Manger Sam Jankovich. "We have a talent level that this city has never seen before".
"Everyone did a real nice job in camp," Coach Barto remarked. "We still have a lot of work to do but many of these guys have shown they have the mental and physical tools to get this done, and most importantly win games".
Training camp begins Saturday, February 3rd. The entire team will attend training camp and the final cut will be made on February 26th.
