The Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League have signed Oregon State incoming freshman infielder Nick Madrigal of Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove, Calif., president Dan Segel announced Thursday.
Madrigal was selected in the 17th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. He is expected to join the Knights in time for Thursday night's home game against Bellingham.
