Victoria HabourCats News Release
The Victoria HarbourCats have trimmed the roster following a 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Kitsap BlueJackets on Wednesday night.
The HarbourCats (2-3), who close out the series with an afternoon game Thursday (1pm) and then head on the road to Bend and Cowlitz, have released LHP Connor Suing (Western Oregon) and OF Matt Bryan (McPherson College). C Evan Willow (McPherson College) and IF Zane Takhar (Northeastern Oklahoma) have left the team and will not be on the impending road trip as planned.
Takhar was 1-1 at the plate in limited action as the coaches looked at players who had joined the team since the exhibition games. Willow was batting .183 (2-11) with two runs driven in.
Bryan hit .286 (2-7) with an RBI, while Suing started an exhibition game and was 0-0/9.00 in one appearance against the Kelowna Falcons.
After Thursday's day game, the HarbourCats are next at home when the Cowlitz Black Bears come to Sports Traders Diamond at RAP on June 19.
