Fury's Salles Named to MASL Team of the Week

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, placed forward Mauricio Salles on the Major Arena Soccer League Team of the Week for the season's 14th week.
Salles led the Fury with six goals and three assists in Ontario's 8-4 win over Turlock and 10-8 victory over Sacramento last weekend, as the Fury completed a sweep of its four-game road trip.
The weekend's performance vaulted Salles into the top five in league scoring, with 20 goals and 13 assists in the Fury's 13 games.
Fury goaltender Sanaldo - who was credited with a team-record 33 saves in the win against Turlock - and defender Stephen Basso - who had four goals in the two games - were both Honorable Mention selections in the league honors.
Ontario will return to action at 7 p.m. Friday at Citizens Business Bank Arena as the Fury begin a two-game weekend at home against the Sacramento Surge. Friday's game will be Scout Night, with several in-game promotions scheduled exclusively for Scouts in attendance. The Fury will also be having its first-ever Teddy Bear Toss, with fans encouraged to bring stuffed animals to throw on the field after the first Fury goal. The toys will be collected and distributed to local charities.
The Fury will be in action again at 3 p.m. Sunday against the San Diego Sockers. There will be a game-worn jersey auction as part of the day's festivities, with proceeds benefitting Casa Colina Healthcare. The first 2,000 fans at both games will receive a set of Ontario Fury trading cards as well.
