Fullback Armstrong Back in Arizona

Mesa, AZ - The Arizona Rattlers have announced that fullback Odie Armstrong will return to the team after being assigned to a two year contract on Friday.

2013 will mark Armstrong's (6-1, 260, Northwest Oklahoma State) third season with the Rattlers. Last season Armstrong recorded 66 carries for 220 yards and 10 catches for 100 yards in 15 regular-season games. He tallied 17 touchdowns and also added eight tackles on the defensive side.

In 2011, Armstrong started in all 18 regular-season games putting together a record-setting season. He carried the ball 77 times, gaining 295 yards, a single-season Rattlers record. Armstrong added 17 TDs and averaged 16.4 rushing yards per game.

Armstrong led the AFL in rushing during the 2010 season with the Tulsa Talons, totaling 349 yards on 74 rushes. In 2008, as a member of the Orlando Predators, Armstrong was named to the AFL All-Rookie team.
