
Fudge Named IFL Player of the Week

The Indoor Football League (IFL) announced on Wednesday that Wichita Wild running back Darius Fudge has been named league Offensive Player of the Week for Week 16. This is the second time this season and fourth time in Fudge's two seasons with Wichita that he has been named Offensive Player of the Week. Fudge rushed for 109 yards on 19 carries in the Wild's 67-17 victory over Sioux City on Saturday. Fudge scored four rushing touchdowns, which brings his league leading total to 25. Fudge is second in the IFL in rushing yards with 679.
Other players recognized this week were Darnell Terrell of La Crosse as Defensive Player of the Week and Darren Brown of San Angelo as Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Wild will clinch a home field playoff game if they win or lose by less than 49 on Saturday at Omaha. Should Wichita host the playoff game, it will take place at Hartman Arena on Saturday, June 26 at 7:05 PM. Tickets will go on sale Sunday morning at 10 AM via www.stage1tickets.com. On Monday, June 21 at 10 AM tickets will be available at all Stage 1 ticket outlets as well as the Hartman Arena Box Office, and by phone at 316-927-3999. Tickets for the game start as low as $5.
