Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Week Sixteen Vidswap.com Players of the Week. With the season's end in sight, the opportunity to capture weekly honors is also almost at an end for the 2010 season. Each week the IFL selects three players, one from each phase of the game, offense, defense, and specials teams, whose play on the field stood out among the rest of the competition. Twelve explosive contests were featured in Week Sixteen, and the following players' noteworthy performances earned them the honors of Vidswap.com Players of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week: RB Darius Fudge, Wichita Wild

With the Wichita Wild well on their way to a playoff run, one of their key offensive components turned it up in Week Sixteen. Darius Fudge displayed once again why he is one of the best backs in the league. Fudge had 109 yards on 19 carries with four touchdowns. This offensive flurry was a big part of Wichita's 67-17 win over the Sioux City Bandits. On top of the stellar running game that Fudge provided, he also added to the passing game. Fudge had three catches for fifteen yards adding to his impressive stats on the day. The Wild will look to continue their winning ways against Central North opponents when they venture into Omaha for the final game of the regular season.

Defensive Player of the Week: DB Darnell Terrell, La Crosse Spartans

La Crosse found themselves in a familiar position in Week Sixteen. They were up against a tough Central North opponent in the playoff hopeful Chicago Slaughter. Yet, for the second time this season, the Spartans claimed victory over Chicago. La Crosse finished off the game in an epic fashion with a late touchdown for a 27-20 win. The Spartans defense shined in this game. The efforts were spearheaded by DB Darnell Terrell. Terrell had three tackles against the Slaughter, one of which was for a loss. Adding to the defensive pressure, Terrell also came away with four interceptions for the game and forced a fumble to keep the Spartans in control of the game. The Spartans get to close out the regular season at home when they host Central North opponents, the Bloomington Extreme.

Special Teams Player of the Week: K Darren Brown, San Angelo Stampede Express

The Express continue to be on a roll as they chug along towards the playoffs. While aiming for a home game in the first round of the playoffs, winning becomes crucial. San Angelo came through in Week Sixteen as they faced a Corpus Christi team who had won five straight at home. The Stampede Express won a thrilling 53-50 contest that saw its finish in overtime. The strength of the victory came off the leg of Kicker Darren Brown. Brown blasted a 35-yard field goal with no time left on the clock in the fourth quarter to tie the game and send it into OT. He also came through with a game winning 16-yard field in overtime. Overall Brown was five for seven on his extra point opportunities as well as two for three on his field goals. Both of those field goals proved to be the most crucial for San Angelo. San Angelo will end the regular season at home hosting the Amarillo Venom.

The IFL regular season concludes with Week Seventeen on Saturday June 19th. The Colorado Ice will close out the 2010 regular season at Fairbanks against the Grizzlies. You can view live broadcasts of IFL games all season long at www.b2livetv.com.
