
FSL Names Pitcher & Player of the Week

The Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period August 4-10, 2014 was named today by the Florida State League.
The Player of the Week was Daytona Cubs Outfielder Rock Shoulders. He played in five (5) games and had six (6) hits in 14 plate appearances for a .429 batting average. His hits included three (3) homeruns and one (1) double. He had three (3) RBI's and scored six (6) times. His OBP was .667 and his slugging average was 1.143. Rock is in his fourth year of professional baseball and he was born in Tampa, FL.
The Pitcher of the Week was Bradenton Marauders Right-hander Tyler Glasnow. He started one (1) game and recorded a win. His ERA was 0.00. In six (6) innings pitched he gave up two (2) hits, two (2) walks, and struck out 11 batters. Tyler is in his third year of professional baseball and he resides in Newhall, CA.
