Frost Heaves announce first player signings

South Burlington, VT. The ABA Vermont Frost Heaves will reveal the core of the Green Mountain State's own pro basketball team at a news conference on Wednesday afternoon, August 16. Several of the team's signed players along with coach Will Voigt and president and general manager Alexander Wolff, will be in attendance.

The news conference will take place at 2pm at the Best Western Windjammer Hotel on Williston Road in South Burlington. The public is welcome to attend.

"Thanks to our recent camps and diligent scouting, we've put in place a nucleus of players we believe will do Vermont proud on and off the court, " said Wolff, who is chronicling the team's progress in Sports Illustrated and on si.com.

The Vermont Frost Heaves will play in the Barre Municipal Auditorium as well as Burlington Memorial Auditorium during their inaugural season in the ABA. The team tips off its 36-game schedule in November.
