Fresno Falcons News Release
LAST WEEK: Fresno went 1-1-0 last week, splitting its two-game series in Utah. The Falcons are 14-8-3 for 31 points and are in second place in the Pacific Division.
Tuesday, December 18 @ Utah Grizzlies 5 FALCONS 2
Utah came out of the gates firing, opening up a 2-0 lead just over six minutes into the first period. Fresno pulled within one on Brady Leisenring's seventh goal of the season at 12:47. That would be as close as the Falcons got all night, as the Grizzlies added a pair of goals in the second period, and another one early in the third. P.O. Beaulieu set the final, scoring his fourth of the year at 8:10 of the third period.
Wednesday, December 19 @ Utah FALCONS 6 Grizzlies 1
The Falcons ended their two-game losing streak with a 6-1 win at The E Center. Matt Stefanishion and Kenny MacAulay scored late in the first period to give Fresno a 2-0 lead, and Oren Eizenman tallied a shorthanded goal in the second period to extend the lead to 3-0 through 40 minutes. Eizenman notched his second of the night 2:23 into the third, and Jarrett Konkle added his 12th of the year giving Fresno a 5-0 lead midway through the third period. Utah's Christian Gaudet spoiled Jake Moreland's shutout bid with 4:18 remaining, but Igor Gongalsky answered to set the final two minutes later.
