Fresh Looking Fresh Rolling Into Season #2

North Texas Fresh News Release

North Texas Fresh will enter their second season in the ABA this upcoming winter with high expectation.

The Fresh will be loaded with returners who have the ABA experience under their belt along with a host of promising players to make an immediate impact this season. "Look for us to be very fast and running and gunning with our talent this year," stated Owner/CEO Jay Bowdy. "I was right on target when I said we would lose only 1 or 2 games last year and I expect the same thing to happen this year."

Even though this is the sophomore year for the Fresh, rookies are looked at to become impact players early. The Fresh have Bowdy, Williams, Wynn and other returners who can carry the team to a championship, but a few new faces look to be able to take the load off of the returners. Two of those players look to be rookies Tanner Johnson and Roy Giles.

Johnson has shown to be a dominant force with smart play through early showings. He may not have the savvy plays that may amuse on - lookers but he is as talented as any rookie coming into the league this year as he is very agile for his size and can play multiple positions.

Giles is as explosive as any rookie entering the ABA and is a playmaker on both ends of the floor. Although Williams and Wynn are returning as the experience backcourt mates, look for Giles to fit in the mix with his ability to play both guard positions. Giles will definitely make a name for himself with the Fresh regardless of what role he will play with the team.

The Fresh haven't announced their schedule as of yet but expect for them to have a very successful season. The season will unfold this December as play will be held at W.G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City, Texas.
