
Freeman Named Defensive Player of the Week

Saskatchewan Roughrider linebacker Jerrell Freeman has been named the CFL's Gibson's Finest Defensive Player of the Week.
In the Riders 27-7 Labour Day victory over the Blue Bombers, Freeman recorded seven defensive tackles, one forced fumble, one quarterback sack and one interception.
So far this season, Freeman has tallied a career high 49 defensive tackles, three quarterback sacks, three special team tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Freeman joins teammate Chris Getzlaf who was also named a CFL player of the week earlier this season.
