
Alouettes Sign Micheaux Robinson

Montreal, September 7, 2011 - Montreal Alouettes Vice President and General Manager, Jim Popp, has signed import defensive back Micheaux Robinson to the practice roster.
Robinson (5'09'', 185 lbs.) began his arena football career in 2007 with the Orlando Predators and signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Sharks in 2009. Last season he led the Sharks in pass break-ups, fumble recoveries and interceptions. Robinson, who attended Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, is in his first season in the CFL.
Surla placed on nine-game injured list Montreal Alouettes linebacker John Surla has been placed on the nine-game injured list following the injury he sustained in the first quarter of Monday's game against the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton.
Also, non-import receiver Matt Lambros was released by the team on Wednesday.
